New merchandise from the official character goods and apparel brand COSPA has been announced for Poputepipikku (Pop Team Epic). The lineup includes T-shirts and acrylic stands featuring Popuko’s memorable lines, and pre-orders are now open at COSPA official shops and other retailers.
About Pop Team Epic
Created by Oooka Bukubu, Poputepipikku began serialization in November 2014 on Takeshobo’s four-panel web comic site Manga Life WIN. The series follows the misadventures of two 14-year-old girls: the short-statured Popuko and the tall Pipimi. Known for its absurdist humor, black comedy, and self-proclaimed “crap” quality, the manga became a cultural phenomenon. The first TV anime season aired in January 2018, followed by a second season in October 2022. The show gained attention for its unique A-part/B-part format, where the same animation was broadcast with different voice actors for each half.

The new COSPA items feature two of Popuko’s most iconic lines: “もしもしポリスメン？” (“Hello, Police?”) and “あーそーゆーことね完全に理解した” (“Ah, so that’s it—I completely understand”).

Both T-shirts are made from 5.6-ounce fabric, offering thickness and durability suitable for standalone wear. The “Hello, Police?” T-shirt comes in WHITE and SUMI (black) colors, while the “I Completely Understand” version is available in SLATE and WHITE. Sizes range from S to XL (note: size S will not be available at early sale events).

Each T-shirt is priced at 3,300 yen (tax included), and each acrylic stand at 1,650 yen (tax included). The general pre-order period runs until August 2, 2026, with general sales scheduled for early October 2026. An early sale will take place at the COSPA booth (booth number 7-06, Hall 7) during Wonder Festival 2026 [Summer] at Makuhari Messe on July 26, 2026. Fans attending the event can get their hands on the items ahead of the general release.
