The fourth collaboration between the TV anime Blue Lock and Sunshine City Prince Hotel is set to run from August 29 to November 28, 2026. This year’s theme is “Striker’s Rest,” offering fans a chance to see their favorite characters in a relaxed, off-duty light.
Newly Drawn Illustrations Capture the World of “Striker’s Rest”
The original Blue Lock manga, written by Kaneshiro Muneyuki and illustrated by Nomura Yuusuke, has been serialized in Weekly Shounen Magazine and won the 45th Kodansha Manga Award in the shounen category. The story follows 300 high school forwards gathered in the “Blue Lock” project, a program established by the Japan Football Union to develop a striker who can lead the nation to a World Cup victory. The TV anime first aired in October 2022 for two consecutive cours, with a theatrical film Blue Lock: Episode Nagi released in April 2024. The second season aired in October 2024 for 14 episodes, and a continuation of the TV series was announced at the “Blue Lock Egoist Festa 2025” in September 2025.
For this collaboration, newly drawn illustrations feature eight characters: Isagi Yoichi, Chigiri Hyouma, Mikage Reo, Nagi Seishirou, Itoshi Rin, Itoshi Sae, Hiori You, and Bachira Meguru. The artwork shows them taking a break from matches and training, enjoying some downtime. Mini character illustrations have also been created to add a lively touch to the event.
Six Concept Room Patterns and Exclusive Guest Goods
The hotel will offer six different concept room patterns, each pairing two characters. The rooms are decorated to match the world of the newly drawn illustrations, creating a special atmosphere that can only be experienced here. Guests staying in these rooms will receive exclusive original goods to take home.
Immersive Space on the IKEPRI25 Floor
The entire 25th floor of the hotel (IKEPRI25) will be transformed into an immersive Blue Lock experience. From the elevator hall to the guest room corridors, the floor will be decorated to let visitors feel like they have stepped into the world of the anime from the moment they arrive.
Four Concept Lounges and Capsule Toy Sales
Four concept lounges will be set up, each with a different theme: “Relax Room,” “Garden Room,” “Study Room,” and “Capsule Toy Room.” Visitors can enjoy the themed space design, and the Capsule Toy Room will offer capsule toy sales.
Collaboration Drinks with Character-Themed Benefits
Eight types of collaboration drinks will be available, each inspired by a character’s color and served with a special bonus. The drinks cost 1,600 yen each (tax and service charge included) and can be purchased at Cafe & Dining Chef’s Palette on the hotel’s first floor from August 29 to November 29, 2026. The drinks are available to all guests, not just those staying in the concept rooms.
Breakfast Plan Bonus
Guests who choose the breakfast-included plan will receive an A4 clear file as a bonus. Breakfast is served buffet-style with Western and Japanese options.
