Touken Ranbu ONLINE Gets First-Ever Osechi New Year’s Set Inspired by ‘Starting Five’ Swords; Padded Jackets with Crests Also Launch

Fans of Touken Ranbu ONLINE can ring in the new year with a special osechi (New Year’s food) set and cozy padded jackets, both designed with motifs from the popular game. Pre-orders begin August 3, 2026, via Bell Maison Net.

The game, which launched in 2015, lets players collect and train sword warriors (Touken Danshi) to fight against forces trying to alter history. It has since expanded into anime, stage plays, musicals, and films, maintaining a massive fanbase.

Osechi Set Details

The “Touken Ranbu ONLINE Design Osechi” is a one-tier set priced at 17,800 yen (tax included). It was conceived by a fan employee, with the company holding internal meetings to decide on dishes and accessory designs.

As the first osechi for the franchise, it celebrates the theme of “beginnings” and is inspired by the “Starting Five” swords (Kashuu Kiyomitsu, etc.). The set includes 30 dishes arranged in a colorful 1.5-portion box, featuring classic osechi items like shrimp, black beans, and herring roe, as well as regional specialties such as karashi renkon (spicy lotus root) and bamboo shoot simmered in broth.

Special touches include picks with the “Otsukai Sanpo” design of the Starting Five, and condiment containers shaped like Konnosuke and Kuronosuke. The set also comes with a calendar based on the game’s “24 Sekki” (24 solar terms), a furoshiki (wrapping cloth) printed with crests of sword warriors implemented up to April 2026, a small plate, and celebratory chopsticks.

An early-bird discount of 5% is available from August 3 to September 30, 2026. Delivery is scheduled for December 29–30, 2026. The osechi is frozen and should be thawed in the refrigerator (2–5°C) for about 12–16 hours. A separate cool fee of 300 yen applies. Not available for delivery to Okinawa, remote islands, or some areas.

Padded Jacket Lineup

To keep fans warm during the New Year, the “Attaka Nakawata Iri no Hanten” (padded jacket) is also launching, priced at 7,480 yen (tax included).

The jacket features a sword warrior crest on the back center, with a subdued design suitable for daily wear by adult women. The inner fabric incorporates motifs from the characters’ costumes, giving it a subtle, modern Japanese feel. It has a relaxed silhouette, convenient side pockets, and snap buttons for easy on/off.

The hanten comes in five colors, each representing a different sword warrior: Mikazuki Munechika, Nikkari Aoe, Kashuu Kiyomitsu, Yamabushi Kunihiro, and Heshikiri Hasebe. It is one size (M–L). Pre-orders run from August 3 to October 21, 2026, at 11:00 AM, with shipments expected from late October to early November 2026. If orders exceed production capacity, pre-orders may close early. After the pre-order period, regular sales will resume.
