Pokémon is teaming up with Baskin-Robbins Japan (B-R 31 Ice Cream) for the annual “31 Poke Natsu!” campaign, running from August 1 to August 31, 2026. This year’s collaboration marks the 30th anniversary of the original Pokémon Red and Green games, and the lineup is packed with nostalgic and new treats.
Pikachu’s Volt Tackle – Pine Squash Flavor
The new limited-time flavor, “Pikachu no Volt Tackle ~Pine Squash~,” captures the electric-type move Volt Tackle in ice cream form. A yellow pineapple sorbet represents Pikachu’s color, while a white cider sorbet evokes the electricity crackling around the Pokémon. The red popping candy, inspired by Pikachu’s cheeks and sparks, comes with 31% more pop than the usual Popping Shower, making every spoonful extra fizzy. The sweet-tart pineapple and refreshing cider combination tastes like a summer pine squash drink. (Single/Regular size: 420 yen)
Pokémon Double Cup Returns
The popular Pokémon Double Cup is back, featuring designs of partner Pokémon from all nine regions alongside Pikachu. The cups are divided by type: Grass, Fire, and Water. Kanto starters Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle appear, as do Paldea starters Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly. Each Double Cup purchase comes with a random special Sunday spoon (featuring Pikachu or one of the Kanto starters) and a random special Pokémon sticker. The sticker set includes 30 designs, including Pikachu, Eevee, Mew, and all nine regions’ partner Pokémon. (Small Double: 510 yen, Regular Double: 760 yen)
Monster Ball Sunday
A new Monster Ball-shaped Sunday makes its debut. Choose your favorite ice cream, topped with whipped cream and colorful sprinkles, plus a large Pikachu chocolate and a random pick from the Kanto starters. The cup itself is shaped like a Monster Ball and can be reused as a small container after the ice cream is gone. (820 yen)
Metamon Crush Soda
This year’s special drink puts the spotlight on Metamon (Ditto). The “Metamon Crush Soda” combines crushed ice and carbonated soda with red grape and blue pineapple syrups. When mixed, the drink turns a purple hue reminiscent of Metamon. Grape-flavored jelly adds a bouncy texture. The clear cup features a cute Metamon design, and the stir spoon comes with a Metamon clear pick. (760 yen)
Pokémon Summer Special Set (Limited Quantity)
Take out nine scoops of your favorite ice cream in a Monster Ball-design box. The lid shows Pikachu and Eevee, while the back features the Kanto starters. The cups inside are decorated with partner Pokémon from all nine regions. The set includes two stainless steel spoons (Pikachu and Eevee, each with a different expression) and nine Sunday spoons. A new palette cake featuring six pieces, each with a different flavor.
