The stage adaptation of Touken Ranbu is marking its 10th anniversary with a magazine takeover. Mikazuki Munechika, played by Suzuki Hiroki, appears on the front cover of the special edition of women’s gravure weekly anan, while Yamanbagiri Kunihiro, played by Aramaki Yoshihiko, takes the back cover. The issue goes on sale Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at bookstores, convenience stores, and online bookstores nationwide.
Two cover stars and a 10th-anniversary stage
Based on Touken Ranbu ONLINE, the PC browser and smartphone game in which famous swords become warriors called Touken Danshi and battle enemies plotting to alter history, the stage series began in 2016. It has become a major presence in the 2.5D stage world. This autumn, it is scheduled to present the 10th-anniversary special performance Touken Ranbu Yoden: Tsuki to Taiyou to Hoshoboshi yo.
For that occasion, the anan special edition puts Mikazuki Munechika on the cover and Yamanbagiri Kunihiro on the back cover. A studio shoot captures Suzuki Hiroki and Aramaki Yoshihiko in strikingly beautiful form, showing sword handling and movement worthy of the stage itself.

Both the cover and back cover use detailed special finishing inspired by the swords. The beauty of the blades and costumes, carefully crafted by the stage staff, stands out down to the finest details.
