A Refreshing Story with Period Drama Motifs
From the popular anime series among readers, the magazine Megami Magazine brings you its interview feature Megami’s Voice, where promising voice actors talk about their works and roles. In the February 2026 issue, we have a roundtable discussion with Noa’s voice actor Nabana Karin, Zoi’s voice actor Miyashita Saki, Shaarii’s voice actor Saeki Iori, and Ariiche’s voice actor Tachibana Azusa from the TV anime Kizoku Tensei ~Megumareta Umare kara Saikyou no Chikara wo Eru~ (which can be translated as Aristocrat Reincarnation ~Gaining the Strongest Power from a Blessed Birth~). This article includes a long interview with parts that couldn’t be featured in the magazine.

――What are your impressions of the work Kizoku Tensei ~Megumareta Umare kara Saikyou no Chikara wo Eru~ (hereafter referred to as Kizoku Tensei)?
Nabana: With lots of cute girls appearing, I initially thought it was a story where the protagonist Noa enhances his abilities while becoming popular. But actually, it’s a serious tale about governance, where Noa, who was wise in his previous life, uses his intellect to smartly confront various troubles. It’s also educational about human interactions, and his ability to gain strength through people’s trust felt fresh.
Miyashita: As the title suggests, Noa-sama is the strongest, right? Even difficulties that we couldn’t handle, he resolves them refreshingly. That’s what makes the work appealing, I feel.
Nabana: It has period drama motifs, and since good and evil are clearly divided, it flows in a way that Noa solves things when he arrives.
Saeki: It’s like “Can’t you see this seal?” kind of feeling. He punishes the evil, so it’s satisfying.
Tachibana: It’s really stress-free. I think everyone will enjoy watching it comfortably.
――What kind of person is the character you’re in charge of?
Nabana: Noa has been reincarnated and is on his second life, so he gives the impression of being accomplished. He also has the strength to sometimes hurt himself to support others, making him very reliable.
Miyashita: You’d want him by your side, right?
Tachibana: Every family needs one like him, right?
Saeki: You’d feel secure if he were there.

Noa
Miyashita: The character I play, Zoi, is a maid who serves Noa-sama. Among the many maids, it’s not an exaggeration to say she’s the closest to Noa-sama, with many scenes together. She has many tearful moments and is a very kind person, but she tends to hide her true feelings. However, Noa-sama sees through that.
Nabana: Maids often have the image of suppressing their emotions to serve, but Zoi has a human-like quality.
Miyashita: Yes. She grows through interactions with people, so I hope viewers watch that aspect too.
Tachibana: Zoi-san has a relatable cuteness. I think her moments of weakness are also charming.

Zoi
Saeki: Noa-sama is the type to handle things calmly, but Zoi-san can empathize with his heart. I think Zoi-san is in a position to move Noa-sama’s heart.
Miyashita: Both of you are correct!
Saeki: The character I play, Shaarii, is a cool female knight who takes her work seriously. Moreover, she’s honest—even if she knows it will rain 100% tomorrow, if someone says “It’ll be sunny tomorrow,” she’ll believe it and not bring an umbrella (laughs). But then she gets caught in the rain and feels down. I also feel she has a wide emotional range.
Miyashita: Shaarii-san is, above all, strong, right?
Saeki: She’s Noa-sama’s muscle power. She also plays an important role in increasing Noa-sama’s strength stats.
Tachibana: Shaarii-san is really cool! But she has almost no interaction with Ariiche.

Shaarii
Saeki: Shaarii and the others hardly ever go to the shop where Ariiche works.
Tachibana: That’s right. But in the recording booth, I really like how Saeki-san’s adorable acting at the microphone brings out Shaarii’s coolness.
Saeki: Thank you~. Ariiche has a cute presence, and she also handles the ending theme song, with a lovely singing voice. I think the place near Ariiche might be the most comfortable spot for Noa-sama.
Nabana: Right, right. I think it’s a place to take a break.
Tachibana: Ariiche is trying to earn money by singing alone to repay the debt her father incurred. But in truth, she’s a shy and childish girl. I think the highlight is how her age-appropriate childishness emerges after meeting Noa-sama.
Nabana: Ariiche has the most presence, right? I think for Noa, the first subject he properly confronted and saved was Ariiche. In Ariiche’s first appearance episode, the staff said “Please deliver the proclamation,” and I understood it was a period drama, so it’s a memorable scene for me.

Ariiche
Tachibana: During recording, I was hiding my face with bangs like Ariiche, but when I heard Noa-sama’s voice, it felt like my eyes were opened. Nabana-san’s voice also has power.
Nabana: I’m so happy, I get all wiggly. I might get carried away (laughs).
Miyashita: Certainly, Noa-sama saves everyone and has the power to change them.
Saeki: That part is wonderful, right?
Crafting Their Roles with Care
――Nabana-san, Noa is a boy, but is playing a boy role difficult?
Nabana: It’s difficult! Honestly, I didn’t know what to pay attention to, so I built the role while receiving direction from sound director Abe Nobuyuki-san. Kizoku Tensei pursues a realistic sense of age, so Noa also required the cuteness of a young boy. I was often told “You’re sounding too girly.” However, since thinking about the difference between boys and girls didn’t yield answers, I acted by feel.

Nabana Karin
Miyashita: Director Fukuda Michio and Abe-san said “Nabana-san’s voice naturally has dignity.” From her usual posture at the microphone, she had a dignified stance similar to Noa-sama, which I thought was wonderful.
Nabana: Thank you! During recording, everyone embodied their characters, even their postures were similar. Also, technically speaking, since it has period drama motifs, the lines are difficult. There are words we don’t normally use. I tried to speak them clearly.
Miyashita: Noa-sama had a lot of lines and unique proper nouns, right?
Nabana: That’s right. So, I wish I could say I did this or that, but… I acted by becoming Noa as I felt.
――Watching the actual footage, did you feel any difference from your usual acting?
Nabana: Objectively listening, I thought the tone was higher than usual. But I think that’s also because the production shows the gap of child Noa speaking in a mature way.
――Is there anything else that left an impression in role-building?
Nabana: Noa is 6 years old, so he has limited lung capacity and a thin voice. Yet, he talks an enormous amount like an adult, so realistically, he’d run out of breath. Adjusting that was tough.
――Miyashita-san, Saeki-san, Tachibana-san, how did you build your roles?

Miyashita Saki
Miyashita: I thought about how to express Zoi-san’s kindness and researched her speech endings, speed, and voice tone.
Nabana: I think it came out well! Thanks to Zoi, I felt Noa’s kindness was also brought out.
Miyashita: Noa-sama keeps a distance that’s close yet far from Zoi-san, but he sees through what she’s hiding just by her expression. It made me happy that he’s watching properly.

Saeki Iori
Saeki: When I read the manga adaptation, I perceived Shaarii as a natural and somewhat clumsy girl. But during recording, the director gave direction like “Make her more knight-like and cooler.” It was challenging to blend my interpretation with the director’s direction. Basically, I acted while following the direction but hoping that the naturalness I initially felt would show in parts.
Nabana: It did show!
Tachibana: I really felt it!
Saeki: I’m glad~. The direction was to “lower your voice more, make it knight-like.” But then, it became hard to show the clumsiness, so I struggled. We don’t talk much about this in recording sessions, so I’m relieved to know it came through.
Nabana: In Kizoku Tensei, the director had a solid plan for the acting, so we were desperate to keep up.
Saeki: That’s why, when there was no direction and we got an OK, it was like “Yes!” (laughs).
――Shaarii has a sense of not just being a cool girl, right?
Saeki: I made a distinction between scenes where she’s fighting or guarding Noa-sama and her casual conversation voice. Especially, I was conscious of how to express emotions when she thinks “Noa-sama is amazing,” so I hope viewers enjoy that gap too.
Nabana: With Shaarii’s appearance, the atmosphere around Noa brightened up, right? What about Ariiche?

Tachibana Azusa
Tachibana: For Ariiche, I initially imagined her as around 15 or 16 years old. Then, I was told “Please make her about 12 years old.” In works I’ve participated in before, I’ve been asked to raise the age, but this was the first time I was asked to lower it, so I was surprised. I guess I was pulled by Ariiche’s actions of trying to earn money alone by singing, but after receiving direction, I made her younger to show age-appropriate cuteness.
Nabana: I felt the director’s insistence that “children are definitely children.”
――Was it easier to be told to lower the age?
Tachibana: It was easier! Even when playing 18-year-old characters before, I’ve been told “Think of her as 20 years old.” So, being told to play a girl I thought was 15 or 16 as 12, it felt easier for me to act.
――Ariiche also handles the ending theme song. What did you focus on while singing?
Tachibana: For the ending, I sang while trying to express how her life gradually brightens after meeting Noa-sama. It’s a story of a weak girl facing forward, so listeners might find her younger than expected.
Saeki: The song has strong emotions packed in, and it really moved me.
Miyashita: At the moment the chorus hits, her feelings change, and it feels like flowers bloom, brightening up.
Saeki: And your voice is really good too.
Tachibana: Hearing that from voice actors makes me really happy (laughs).
Nabana: Every week, after watching the story and listening to the ending, it’ll be fun to see how it resonates emotionally.
A Lively Recording Studio
――This interview is lively, but was the recording also quite lively?
Nabana: Quite.
Miyashita, Saeki, Tachibana: With Nabana-san leading the way!
Nabana: We all jumped in with retorts at once (laughs). Every time, the original author Natsuna Miki-sensei would bring us animal-themed treats, which sparked excitement. The senior staff were also kind, answering even trivial questions, always composed and full of reassurance.
Saeki: The leader (Nabana) was always talking, right?
Miyashita: You suddenly started singing too, right? I wondered what song it was…
Nabana: I have a habit of singing when I concentrate (laughs).
Tachibana: Nabana-san was managing the recording studio, right? I joined midway and only attended recording sessions when I had parts, so I tended to get nervous. Honestly, for Ariiche’s first appearance episode recording, I was full of anxiety, but when I entered the studio, Nabana-san cheerfully called out “Ariiche-chan!” as the first thing (laughs).
Miyashita: Certainly, she always maintained that unchanging atmosphere.
Saeki: It was really fun and had a good vibe.
Nabana: I was too excited because enjoying creating the work together was so much fun. I’m glad everyone accepted it.
――Noa has a cheat-like status from birth, with infinite level cap, etc., essentially having everything. Do you find such a man appealing?
Miyashita: He’s too smart, but I’d want him by my side.
Nabana: He’s just too capable…
Tachibana: I feel like he’s too adult-like, and I might not be able to keep up.
Nabana: I have a desire to trouble such a perfect man. …Hey, Saeki-san, don’t you like men like Noa?
Miyashita: Maybe you’re into the clumsy type?
Saeki: For me, respect wins over liking. Since I can’t see him as a love interest, it wouldn’t go to love.
Nabana: Is Noa the type who’s too deified to be popular?
Miyashita: Maybe. In terms of relationship with the character, I wish he’d speak more gently to Zoi-san.
Nabana: Because of his position, he ends up saying things like “Zoi, bring it here.” But Noa himself doesn’t prefer to speak that way, so during recording, I was careful not to sound rough.
――Then, what about Noa should be fixed?
Tachibana: Not showing weakness!
Miyashita: He overdoes it, right?
Saeki: I think he’s too extravagant. If he doesn’t hold back a bit more, people around might get suspicious.
Nabana: I get it!
Saeki: If he doesn’t tone it down a bit, his credibility might drop.
Tachibana: Even to Ariiche, if he suddenly says “Your song has value,” it’s too suspicious and troubling.
Nabana: I think he calculates, but his usage is so bold that I worry if he’s making mistakes.
Miyashita: Zoi-san should hold the wallet (laughs). Speaking of extravagance, when talking about salaries, Nabana-san said “1 reen,” right?
Nabana: I dropped a zero… For some reason, I reduce digits by one… Sorry.
――If you could have a cheat ability like Noa, what would you want?
Miyashita: Noa-sama can hear weapons’ voices, so I’d want the ability to hear objects’ voices. Also, not an ability, but his residence has lovely decorations, so I’d want to live there too.
Tachibana: But it looks cold and lonely.
Miyashita: True. And cleaning seems tough too.
Tachibana: Cleaning robots are a must.
Nabana: For me, political power.
Miyashita: You want to take control, huh?
Nabana: No, no (laughs).
Tachibana: She wants to govern.
Nabana: Be quiet a bit (laughs). I’m not good at grasping things like if you listen to this person’s opinion, you’ll catch a better flow. So, I want the嗅觉 to discern good and bad in human relationships.
Miyashita: Noa-sama is good at getting along in the world.
Nabana: He’s skilled at judging power balances.
Saeki: For me, good people skills.
Nabana: That’s good too!
Tachibana: I think it’s unfair that he gets called “cute” even with a slight slip, and I envy that and want it for myself. Because if I suddenly make a peace sign, I get ignored, but if Noa-sama suddenly makes a peace sign, people would say “Wait, that’s cute!” right?
Nabana: True. If Noa just stumbles a little, people would rejoice, “Noa-sama stumbled!” (laughs).
Saeki: Certainly, being praised for anything is enviable.
――Zoi and others serve Noa, but among this roundtable cast, if you had to serve someone, who would it be?
Miyashita: For me, rather than serving, I might want to be served.
Nabana: You have a queen-like quality, huh (laughs).
Tachibana: I also want to be served.
Nabana: By me!? Can I serve you?
Tachibana: Yes!
Miyashita: I’d like to say “Get that thing from the high place” (laughs).
Saeki: I want to serve Azusa-chan.
Tachibana: I’m selfish, you know?
Saeki: I know (laughs). But I want to try hard to fulfill your selfish requests.
Nabana: Iori-chan isn’t the type who wants to be served, right? She’s independent and if told “I want to serve you,” she’d probably say “Don’t come.”
Saeki: I dislike being responsible for someone’s life.
Tachibana: Then maybe I want Saeki-san. I want to cling on even if rejected with “No good.”
Nabana: I think you’d really be disliked (laughs). It’s not something you can push through.
Tachibana: Oh, being disliked is troubling…
Nabana: I’d serve the two mischievous girls and say “Wake up already!” This is like a mom, right (laughs).
Saeki: Saki-chan is too independent, and it feels presumptuous for me to serve her.
Nabana: But there’s a sense of wanting to be swept along.
――Please tell us the highlights of the story.
Miyashita: With it becoming an anime, I think viewers can read the characters’ expressions more clearly. In episode 1, you can see the interaction between Noa-sama and Zoi-san properly, so please pay attention. And I’d be happy if you watch how Zoi-san grows through interacting with Noa-sama.
Saeki: In Kizoku Tensei, many characters appear, starting with the close maid Zoi-san. I find it interesting what kind of troubles each causes and how Noa-sama resolves them. Shaarii’s appearance comes a bit later, but please check out such an enjoyable story.
Tachibana: All characters are unique, so every episode is fun. Whether you’ve seen period dramas or not, or even if you’ve watched many isekai reincarnation works, this series offers a fresh experience. Ariiche appears at key points, but when she does, please watch over her warmly. And please listen to the ending theme every week.
Nabana: Kizoku Tensei is a work where Noa attracts people with his charisma and gains power through surrounding support. I want even those who aren’t into political stories to watch how Noa navigates adult society. Noa’s father and brother are played by cast members who feel like real fathers and brothers to me, so I think you can enjoy realistic emotions. Also, check out the cool opening by SUPER★DRAGON and the lovely ending sung by Ariiche.
