For those new to the series, Tetsunabe no Jan has a rich history. The original comedy gourmet manga serialized in Shounen Champion from June 1995 to March 2000, spanning 27 volumes. The story continued with a sequel, Tetsunabe no Jan! R: Choujou Sakusen, which ran from November 2006 to December 2010 and was compiled into 10 volumes.
The universe expanded with a spin-off titled Tetsuhai no Jan! (Iron Tile Jan) in Kindai Mahjong magazine from August 2015 to December 2017. Another successor series, Tetsunabe no Jan!! 2nd (Iron Wok Jan!! 2nd), began in Dragon Age in January 2017.
English-speaking fans might remember that the original manga was licensed by ComicsOne from 2002 to 2005, before the license moved to DrMaster.
