This is the second installment of a making-of project, and this time it features voice actor Eguchi Takuya, who plays Julius Euclius. His passionate performance can be seen.
On May 13, the official Re:Zero account updated X with a “dubbing video” and released the second installment of the behind-the-scenes video project. They posted the video with the message: “TV anime Re:Zero -Starting Life in Another World- Season 4: Second installment, Julius role #Eguchi Takuya ver. This project gives you a first-ever behind-the-scenes look at the recording booth. We dig into the backstage of the 4th season through a simulated dubbing session and interview. Please enjoy after watching Episode 72 ‘Julius Euclius’.”
The video begins with a scene where Subaru challenges a laughing Julius. Eguchi passionately delivers the line: “No, you really are an incredible man. I’m realizing that again… I see… That’s right… I wasn’t completely abandoned after all…”
There is also a moment where Eguchi talks about how he approaches the character of Julius from his own perspective.
Additionally, the video shows interaction with Kobayashi Yusuke, who plays Subaru. After the dubbing session, the voice actors for Beatrice (Arai Satomi) and Emilia (Takahashi Rie) can be seen praising him, saying they “almost cried.”
