Big News: An Anime Project is in the Works for ‘Gacha wo Mawashite Nakama wo Fuyasu’ Light Novel!

It’s been officially announced that an anime project based on Chinkururi’s adventure fantasy light novel series, **Gacha wo Mawashite Nakama wo Fuyasu: Saikyou no Bishoujo Gundan wo Tsukuriagero**, is now in progress. The exciting news was revealed on the wraparound band of the 12th volume of the manga adaptation.
About the Original Story
The journey for **Gacha wo Mawashite Nakama wo Fuyasu: Saikyou no Bishoujo Gundan wo Tsukuriagero** began online. Author Chinkururi first started penning the novel back in January 2016 on the popular Shousetsuka ni Narou website. Later, the series was picked up and published under Micro Magazine’s GC Novels imprint, running from November 2016 until its conclusion in August 2020.
Don’t Forget the Manga!
Adding to the series’ popularity is the manga adaptation, illustrated by Shuu Haruno. This manga started serialization in March 2018 on the Comic Ride web magazine. The 11th tankobon volume of the manga was released in October of last year. For those outside Japan, Kaiten Books licensed the manga adaptation for English release in December 2020, and the seventh volume digitally became available recently in September 2024. (The series is also known under the English title *Gacha Girls Corps*.)
What’s the Story About?

It follows Heihachi, who seems like just your average guy addicted to mobile games, specifically ones with gacha systems, and who might spend a bit too much money on them. But his life gets a wild spin when a gacha pull doesn’t just give him an item – it pulls him into another world entirely! Faced with dangerous monsters and no other options, Heihachi turns to what he knows best: rolling the gacha! To his absolute surprise, the units he pulls materialize right before his eyes. While he’s used to seeing cute girls pop up on his phone screen, seeing one pop *out* of his phone is a whole new level of reality!
