New merchandise for the classic magical girl anime Magical Angel Creamy Mami has been announced. A figure of Creamy Mami herself and a replica of her magic wand are now available for pre-order via Bandai Namco Group’s official online shop Premium Bandai (Tamashii Web Store).
Adokenette Creamy Mami Figure
Produced by Studio Pierrot as its first original TV anime series, Magical Angel Creamy Mami aired in 1983 and remains a beloved cornerstone of the magical girl genre, even over 40 years later. The series celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2023 with events such as an exhibition, collaboration cafes, and pop-up shops, drawing renewed attention as a retro anime.
The figure is part of the “Adokenette” brand, which focuses on a five-head proportion concept emphasizing innocence (adokenasa). It depicts the form of 10-year-old Yū Morisawa after she transforms into the idol Creamy Mami using magic. The small but detailed sculpt faithfully reproduces her makeup and the head ornament “Lumina Walk,” with coloring reminiscent of the anime. The pose, peeking out from a hiding spot, captures an endearing, innocent charm.
PROPLICA Mahou no Stick (Magic Wand)
Also newly announced is the PROPLICA “Mahou no Stick,” a 1:1 scale replica of the wand Yū uses to transform into Creamy Mami. Its size was calculated from on-screen appearances, and it is the first complete new-mold product of this item.
The wand features a touch sensor that allows users to enjoy the exact shape from the anime and recreate the activation of the transformation scene. Additionally, a motor recreates the heart rotation gimmick from the transformation sequence.
It includes background music, sound effects, and voice clips extracted from the anime audio, featuring Takako Ohta as Creamy Mami / Yū Morisawa. A button-operated mode keeps the wand lit for a set time, making it ideal for photography.
A dedicated display stand is included, and if left powered on after use, a sleep mode voice will play after a certain time.
