Detective Pretty Cure! is the 23rd entry in the Pretty Cure series, with a “detective” motif and the theme of “seeing, feeling, thinking for yourself, and finding the ‘true’ answer.” The story is set in 1999. The protagonist, Akira Minami (Akira Atsushi? actually the source says: 主人公・明智あんな), is guided by a mysterious power and time-slips from the present to 1999. With the desire to help those in trouble, she teams up with Mikuru Kobayashi she meets in that era to transform into the detective Pretty Cure. It depicts a new encounter, friendship, and growth across time for the Pretty Cure.
Episode 18: “A Meeting of Detectives (Assemble)” Synopsis
Anna (Akira?) and Mikuru assist Jet-senpai, who is in charge of preparing the exhibition of glass artist Misako Shindo at the Hōshō Art Museum. The centerpiece of the exhibition is a glass slipper named “The 12:00 Forgotten Thing.” However, a commotion suddenly breaks out in the museum, and the glass slipper disappears.
Anna and Mikuru interrupt their preparations and return to the Cure Detective Agency, where Jet-senpai entrusts them with solving the case. Suspecting the Phantom Thief Group Phantom, the two investigate how the glass slipper was taken but find no clues at all.
