
The official website for the television anime adaptation of Kureha‘s Oni no Hanayome (The Ogre’s Bride) novel unveiled additional staff, a key visual, the theme songs, and the first promotional video on Sunday. The series is scheduled to premiere on July 5 at 12:30 a.m. on Tokyo MX, BS11, Gunma TV, and Tochigi TV, followed by other stations.

Theme Songs
Music group ClariS (known for Lycoris Recoil) performs the opening theme “Hikoto.” Actor Yamazaki Ikusaburo (who performed the Tasogare Out Focus opening theme) sings the ending theme “Shinboshi.” Both songs are previewed in the promotional video.
Key Staff
Oomiya Kazuhito (Chou Shounen Tanteidan Neo) is directing the anime at Colored Pencil Animation Japan. Kamakura Yumi (Working!!! director) is handling series composition. Tanaka Hikari (Obey Me!) is in charge of main character design, while Shigekuni Hiroko (Fruits Basket: Prelude chief animation director) serves as character designer. Yokoyama Masaru (Tomo-chan wa Onnanoko!) is composing the music.
Background
Kureha originally began writing the fantasy romance novel on the Novema! website in 2019. Starts Shuppan started publishing the novel under its Starts Shuppan Bunko imprint with illustrations by Shiratani Yuu in October 2020, and released the ninth volume in May 2024.
Togashi Jun began drawing a manga adaptation on Star Shuppan’s noicomi web magazine in December 2021. Star Shuppan published the ninth volume on March 27.
NTT Solmare began publishing the manga in English on its Manga Plaza platform in March 2025.
