TV anime Yozakura-san Chi no Daisakusen Season 2 second cour has been confirmed to air from October 2026. The new episodes will broadcast every Sunday at 5:00 PM on MBS/TBS network across 28 stations nationwide. Alongside the announcement, a special trailer was released on the YouTube channel “NBCUniversal Anime/Music.”
The series is based on the manga by Gonbe Hitsuji, serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from August 2019. The story follows high school student Asano Taiyou, who lost his family and closed his heart, as he navigates a chaotic daily life with the historic spy family Yozakura. It is a love-and-laughter spy family comedy. The manga concluded in January 2025 after about five and a half years, with cumulative sales exceeding 3.6 million copies.
The special trailer for the second cour teases the aftermath of the first cour’s climax, where the true intentions of Yozakura Hyaku, father of Mutsumi and her siblings, were finally revealed. Hyaku’s twisted love drives him to destroy his own family, eventually threatening even the Spy Association. Gold-level spies make their appearance, and the fate of the siblings caught in Hyaku’s machinations remains uncertain. Further updates are eagerly awaited.
