“Kimetsu Gakuen” Rengoku & Uzui Join! Game “Kimetsu no Yaiba Hinokami Keppuutan 2”, Kitou Akari’s Play Report Also Released

The sequel to the demon-slaying fighting action game based on the *Kimetsu no Yaiba* anime, titled *Kimetsu no Yaiba: Hinokami Keppuutan 2*, is set to be released on August 1, 2025. To build excitement, new introduction videos featuring “Kimetsu Gakuen Rengoku Kyoujurou” and “Kimetsu Gakuen Uzui Tengen” have just been released. Furthermore, a 5-part play report series by Kitou Akari, the seiyuu for Kamado Nezuko, has also been announced.

*Kimetsu no Yaiba* is based on the manga by Gotouge Koyoharu, serialized in Shueisha’s “Weekly Shounen Jump,” which has surpassed 150 million copies in circulation across its 23 volumes. The story follows Kamado Tanjirou, a young boy whose family is murdered by demons. To turn his demon-transformed sister, Nezuko, back into a human, he joins the Demon Slayer Corps and throws himself into battle against demons. The series has gained immense popularity for its poignant tale of humans and demons, intense sword fights, captivating characters, and occasional comical moments.

ufotable, the anime studio behind the series, began its run with *Terebi Anime Kimetsu no Yaiba: Kamado Tanjirou Risshi-hen* in April 2019. Following the story depicted in *Terebi Anime Kimetsu no Yaiba: Hashira Geiko-hen*, which aired from May 2024, the next arc, *Gekijouban Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen-jou-hen*, will be produced as a trilogy, with the first part set to premiere on July 18, 2025. The story unfolds in the “Infinity Castle,” the demons’ stronghold where Tanjirou and his companions fall into, marking the beginning of the final battle between the Demon Slayer Corps and the demons.

*Kimetsu no Yaiba: Hinokami Keppuutan 2* is the highly anticipated sequel to the demon-slaying fighting action game *Kimetsu no Yaiba: Hinokami Keppuutan*, based on the series. In the solo play mode, “Hinokami Keppuutan,” players can relive the story of Demon Slayer Kamado Tanjirou, just like in the previous game.
This new title covers the stories of the “Entertainment District Arc,” “Swordsmith Village Arc,” and “Hashira Training Arc,” including fierce battles against Upper Rank demons. The versus mode, “Battle,” allows players to use over 40 characters, including all nine Hashira, enabling dream matchups only possible in the game through online and offline play.

The newly revealed playable characters are joining from “Kimetsu Gakuen,” the official spin-off animated in the anime’s preview segments. Rengoku Kyoujurou-sensei appears as a history teacher, and Uzui Tengen-sensei as an art teacher. Their fighting styles, which are a bit different from their main story counterparts, are sure to be a highlight. We’ve also received game visuals and new screenshots for these characters.

Furthermore, adding to the excitement, Kitou Akari-san, the seiyuu for Kamado Nezuko, will once again be providing play reports, just like she did for the previous *Kimetsu no Yaiba: Hinokami Keppuutan*. This series will consist of five parts, with Kitou-san taking on different game challenges in each episode, sharing the game’s appeal and key points in detail. Expect lots of laughter, surprises, and an unexpected development towards the end! This must-watch play report is bound to be captivating.
