Voice actor and artist Miyano Mamoru has officially announced a label transfer, moving from King Records to Pony Canyon. The news was shared via the official X (formerly Twitter) account and the artist’s website, along with a personal message from Miyano himself.
Miyano made his voice acting debut in 2001 with the dub of the overseas drama “I Am Caitlin,” and went on to voice numerous popular anime characters. He launched his music career in 2007 and has since expanded into TV dramas, stage performances, and variety shows.
In his statement, Miyano expressed deep gratitude to King Records: “I am full of gratitude to everyone at King Records who guided me into the world of music, gave me many experiences and encounters, and taught me the wonder and joy of expressing through song. I, who could not easily have confidence in myself, have come to call myself an ‘artist.’ I am truly, truly thankful for the support and nurturing.”
He also shared his motivation for the move: “I turned 43 this year. Since entering my 40s, I have been constantly thinking about the direction of my various activities. Within that, the desire to ‘show a different side of myself than before’ has grown stronger. I strongly felt that by taking on new challenges here, I could become even bigger as someone who aims for entertainment and as an expressive artist. I can take on such challenges because I have fans who always support me by my side. Your warm words and smiles have pushed me forward many times. I will continue to pursue entertainment that you can enjoy and deliver it to you.”
He concluded with excitement: “This is a new start, but rather than anxiety, I feel a great sense of excitement about what kind of music I can deliver. I want to keep the feelings I have cherished so far, enjoy new challenges, and spend time with everyone full of smiles. Thank you for your continued support.”

Fans quickly responded on X with messages of support: “If this is the path Miyano-san chose, I’ll follow! I’ve always supported you and will continue to support you!” “I’m really looking forward to meeting new songs from Mamo.” “Mamo-chan, thank you for your hard work. I’ll always support you.” “Keep doing your best, Mamo-chan!”
However, some fans raised questions about the implications of the label change. Comments included: “What will happen to Miyabi Mamoru (16)?” “Can he still sing the songs from King Records that he’s been with since his debut?” “What about his previous songs? And will he no longer perform theme songs for Uta no Prince-sama?”
With his unique entertainment style, Miyano Mamoru continues to captivate audiences. Fans are eager to see what new directions his career will take under Pony Canyon.
