Show Your Support with Haikyu!! Player Support Towels!
From the anime Haikyu!!, a new line of “Player Support Towels” featuring character names and school icons is now available! All 39 varieties are currently open for pre-order on the Candy Online Shop, part of the Bandai Namco Group’s official online store, Premium Bandai.
Haikyu!! is a monumental sports manga by Furudate Haruichi that captured hearts with its passionate portrayal of high school students dedicating themselves to volleyball. Serialized in Shueisha’s “Weekly Shonen Jump” for eight and a half years starting in February 2012, the manga has sold over 70 million copies in total.
The TV anime series adaptation began in 2014, with four seasons produced and broadcast up to December 2020. It has captivated and moved anime fans both in Japan and overseas, not just original manga readers.
Following this success, the movie Gekijouban Haikyu!! Gomi Suteba no Kessen, released in February 2024, depicted the intense match and dramatic story between Karasuno Koukou and their fated rivals, Nekoma Koukou. The film became a massive hit, earning over 20 billion yen in worldwide box office revenue. It also won the Excellent Animation of the Year award at the Japan Academy Film Prize, making it a hot topic as one of the most momentum-filled sports anime currently.
Highly anticipated sequels, Gekijouban Haikyu!! VS Chiisana Kyojin and the special anime “Haikyu!! Bakemono-tachi no Iku Tokoro”, have also been announced. Fans eagerly await the dramatic moments of the heated quarterfinal matches, including Karasuno VS Oogidai and Fukurodani Gakuen Koukou VS Mujinazaka Koukou, brought to life on screen.
