Ichiban Kuji is launching a new lineup for the popular cat character series mofusand, featuring original illustrations and a range of cooling items perfect for summer relaxation.
mofusand is the creation of illustrator Jyuno, known for cute and slightly surreal cat designs. An anime adaptation began streaming on YouTube and other platforms on January 7, 2026, and the book Same-nyan (Shark Cat) is now available up to volume 3.
The new Ichiban Kuji, titled mofusand ~Hiyari Kutsurogi Jikan~ (Cooling Relaxation Time), includes prizes from A to G plus a Last One prize, all featuring original artwork.
Prize Lineup
A Prize: Shirokuma-nyan no Ice Nuigurumi — A polar bear cat plush sitting adorably while holding an ice cream.
B Prize: Handy Fan — A cat-shaped handheld fan with a seal cat perched on top, perfect for staying cool together.
C Prize: Hiyari Sweets no Obuton Nuigurumi Mascot — Plush mascots of a polar bear cat and a penguin cat tucked into cool sweet-themed bedding. The plushies can be removed and swapped between beds.
D Prize: Glass Collection — An assortment of glass cups, bowls, and canisters. One cup makes a seal cat appear to float when filled with drink; another shows shark cats on ice when milk is added; a bowl is designed for ice cream or shaved ice.
E Prize: Suzushige Fabric Collection — A set including a cooling towel, a drawstring bag, and a gauze towel. The cooling towel becomes cold when wet and shaken. The drawstring bag is tall enough to hold a PET bottle. The gauze towel is 100% cotton for a soft, breathable feel.
F Prize: Sugara Glass Fu Acrylic Collection — Frosted glass-style acrylic items: a clip for holding notes, a pen stand, and a charm. The cool, translucent colors enhance the summer vibe.
G Prize: Pukkuri Sticker Collection — A set of four glossy, three-dimensional stickers, ideal for decorating phones, laptops, or trading.
Last One Prize: Azarashi-nyan no Dakishime Nuigurumi — A seal cat plushie wearing a seal hood, sized for hugging and lounging around.
Release Details
Ichiban Kuji mofusand ~Hiyari Kutsurogi Jikan~ will be available at retail stores from July 31, 2026 (Friday), with online sales starting the same day at 11:00 JST. Each draw costs 750 yen (tax included).
Participating locations include FamilyMart, bookstores, hobby shops, the mofusand Mofumofu Store, the official Ichiban Kuji shop, and Ichiban Kuji ONLINE.
