Pokémon GO is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a brand-new television commercial series titled “Sing like GO♪,” featuring singer-songwriter Aina the End. The three-part campaign, which began airing nationwide, captures the excitement and comfort of playing Pokémon GO through music and visuals.
The commercials are divided into three distinct spots: “Sing like GO♪ ‘Fooh!'”, “Sing like GO♪ ‘Getchu NOW (Heart)'”, and “Sing like GO♪ ‘Uchira Saikou!'” Each one blends the sensations of sunlight, wind, footsteps, and the rhythm of smartphone operation with Aina the End’s scat-style original songs.

This spot opens on a holiday morning as Aina steps outside with her phone. The scene transitions from a room bathed in soft morning light to a seaside path, where she walks, feels the breeze, and moves to the beat, conveying the refreshing sense of freedom that comes with going outdoors.

Set in lush green areas and a riverside bench, this commercial follows the journey from encountering a Pokémon to catching it. Aina’s voice, facial expressions, and phone gestures mirror the shifts from surprise to anticipation to joy, effectively communicating the thrill of gameplay.

Through scenes of Raid Battles at a café and a city park, this spot highlights the happiness of cooperating with friends to win and the fun of the connections that Pokémon GO fosters.
Aina the End commented on the campaign, saying, “The lighthearted lyrics that put the joy of going outside and playing with friends into music, along with the bouncy melody, are really fun.” Her favorite phrase is “Ohi-sama mo tiruri tette,” noting that the word “tiruri” is unusual and amusing. Reflecting on actually playing Pokémon GO, she added, “Going outside is really great. Familiar places become Gyms, which is interesting, and moving your body refreshes you. Pokémon GO truly kills a hundred birds with one stone!”
During filming, the camera work was distinctive—spinning around and shooting from low angles—and Aina concentrated on sharing the director’s vision. She admitted that singing the rhythmic phrases, including detailed movements like “tappeta tappeta tappun,” was unexpectedly challenging.

For the first time, Aina’s younger sister REiKA appears in a commercial as a backup dancer. Aina, who affectionately calls her sister “Imo Pokémon” (Sister Pokémon) in her own book, expressed happiness at being able to perform together despite REiKA’s nervousness about her first CM.
A making-of video released on the same day includes a special interview with Aina, behind-the-scenes footage, and a look at the music recording session. A highlight is the surprise appearance of Pikachu on set, which caught Aina off guard but brought a natural smile to her face.

Pokémon GO launched in July 2016, using AR technology to turn the real world into a game board. It became a global social phenomenon, surpassing 10 billion downloads. Now in 2026, its 10th anniversary has led to this commemorative CM series.
Aina the End debuted in 2015 as a member of the instrument-less punk band BiSH. After BiSH disbanded in 2023, she focused on her solo career, selling out her first solo Budokan performance in 2024. She also performed solo at the 76th NHK Kōhaku Uta Gassen, proving her talent and popularity.
