A new figure of Ainz Ooal Gown from the TV anime Overlord is set to be released in June 2027 by Union Creative. The figure, titled “Ainz Ooal Gown 10th Anniversary so-bin ver.,” is based on a commemorative illustration drawn by so-bin for the 10th anniversary of the original novel series.
Overlord is a fantasy novel series by Maruyama Kugane. The TV anime adaptation began airing in 2015 and has run for four seasons. In September 2024, the theatrical film Overlord: Holy Kingdom was released.
The “Ainz Ooal Gown 10th Anniversary so-bin ver.” figure brings to life the illustration that so-bin created specifically for the 10th anniversary of the light novel’s publication.
The figure captures the absolute ruler of the Great Tomb of Nazarick, Ainz, with the solemnity and impact of the original artwork. Every detail is carefully sculpted, from the flowing silhouette of his robe to the ominous yet mystical coloring, and even the guild weapon, the Staff of Ainz Ooal Gown.
An effect base at his feet enhances the presence of the silent, overwhelming ruler. The commemorative illustration’s world is recreated in a volume of approximately 340 mm in total height. The figure is priced at 48,950 yen (tax included). Preorders are accepted until October 30.
