A new collaboration between Natsume’s Book of Friends and earth music&ecology Japan Label has been announced, featuring eight items inspired by the beloved Nyanko-sensei. The collection includes a cardigan, parka, dress, skirt, and fluffy bags, all available for pre-order starting August 7, 2026 at 18:00.
Natsume’s Book of Friends follows the story of high school student Natsume Takashi, who can see spirits (ayakashi), and his self-proclaimed bodyguard Nyanko-sensei. The series is cherished for its gentle, heartwarming tales of interactions between humans and spirits.
This collection incorporates subtle motifs of Nyanko-sensei and his favorite foods into the designs, with careful attention to fabric and pattern details, aiming to bring a warm, cozy feeling to those who wear them.
Knit Cardigan and Stole
The “Natsume’s Book of Friends Knit Cardigan” (6,900 yen) and “Natsume’s Book of Friends Knit Stole” (6,000 yen) feature jacquard patterns of sake bottles, grilled squid, and paw prints—iconic symbols of Nyanko-sensei. The cardigan includes original buttons and double pockets on both sides, while the stole has a playful design with Nyanko-sensei peeking out from a pocket.

The “Natsume’s Book of Friends Parka” (8,900 yen) uses a ponch material printed with an original illustration of Nyanko-sensei. Details include a front zipper with a charm, a same-color illustration on the left chest, and a hood with a brown ribbon.

Fluffy Bags and Charm
The “Natsume’s Book of Friends Boa Shoulder Bag” (5,500 yen) and “Natsume’s Book of Friends Boa Pouch” (3,500 yen) are made of fluffy material reminiscent of Nyanko-sensei, with paw print embroidery and a charm shaped like a tail.
