The third cast announcement for the tokusatsu TV drama Kamen Rider Mice has been revealed. Iwanaga Joui will take on the role of Kamen Rider Van Ken, while Hasegawa Kasumi will play Kamen Rider Mutton.
Kamen Rider Mice is the latest entry in the Kamen Rider series, set to premiere on September 6, 2026, on TV Asahi every Sunday at 9:00 AM. The protagonist, Oto Sumi Sora, transforms into the mouse-themed Kamen Rider Mice. Akitani Ikufu has already been announced as the lead. Now, two members of the Zodiac Alliance who stand against Mice have been cast.
Van Ken: The Literary Dog of the Zodiac Alliance
Van Ken, the Dog (Inu) of the Zodiac Alliance, is a character deeply versed in literature, always carrying a songbook. He uses his sharp sense of smell to detect the monsters known as “Fukashigi” that attack people, and confronts them with courage. Iwanaga Joui, known for his roles in films such as Burn! Debgon TOKYO MISSION and Blue Lock, brings his exceptional athleticism and trained physical abilities to the role.
Mutton: The Sleepy Sheep with a Devoted Heart
Mutton, the Sheep (Hitsuji) of the Zodiac Alliance, is always sleeping, but she holds deep admiration for Van Ken, calling him “Ken-sama.” When it comes to him, she becomes uncontrollable even among the other Zodiac members. Hasegawa Kasumi, who recently appeared in Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger (2023-2024), expressed her surprise: “I never thought my time to transform would come…!”
