About Kimetsu no Yaiba

Kimetsu no Yaiba is based on the popular manga by Gotouge Koyoharu, which was serialized in Shueisha’s “Jump Comics.” With all 23 volumes published, the series has surpassed a cumulative circulation of 150 million copies! The story follows Kamado Tanjirou, a young boy whose family is tragically killed by demons (oni). To turn his demon-turned younger sister, Nezuko, back into a human, he joins the Demon Slayer Corps (鬼殺隊, KIsatsutai) and plunges into a fierce battle against demons. The series captivates audiences with its poignant narrative of humans and demons, breathtaking sword combat, compelling characters, and touches of humor.

The anime adaptation, produced by the talented studio ufotable, began its run with TV Anime Kimetsu no Yaiba Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc in April 2019 and has continued to expand its story across multiple arcs. Following TV Anime Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arc, which aired from May 2024, the highly anticipated story arc will be depicted in Gekijouban Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugenjo-hen. This cinematic adaptation is being produced as a trilogy, with its first chapter, “Dai Isshou: Akaza Sairai,” set to premiere on July 18, 2025. This arc marks the beginning of the final battle between the Demon Slayer Corps and the demons, set within the demons’ stronghold, the Infinite Castle (Mugenjo), where Tanjirou and his companions have fallen.
