First Collaboration Between Tokusou Gattai Robo Jobureibaa and JAL
Takara Tomy and Japan Airlines (JAL) have announced their first-ever collaboration for the die-cast mini-car hero series Tokusou Gattai Robo Jobureibaa. The partnership introduces a transforming robot jet toy, the Tomica Jobureibaa TJBDX DX Sukai Bureibaa JAL Jet Airliner. It launches in early October 2026, with pre-orders opening on August 27 at the Takara Tomy Mall and JAL Shopping JAL Mall.

Tokusou Gattai Robo Jobureibaa: A Popular Hero Robot Series
The franchise is themed around ‘familiar jobs seen in the city.’ Jobroids (working robots) combine with vehicles to become Jobureibaa (robots) that protect the town. Its mix of aspirational occupations, real vehicles, and robot heroes has won broad support. The web anime has exceeded 50 million total views as of the end of March, while toy shipments have passed 1.5 million units.
Three-Party Vision Behind the Collaboration
Takara Tomy, JAL, and JAL group trading company JALUX shared the same desire to communicate the charm of passenger jets to children through Jobureibaa. This shared ambition is what made the first partnership possible.

The robot’s design highlights the JAL logo mark ‘Tsuru Maru’. In addition to the robot itself, the set includes two Jobroids in JAL uniforms—a pilot and a cabin attendant. A suitcase-like weapon transforms into the Kokupittou, and a JAL-marked container (included) becomes a shield called Container Shield Q9-C49. The toy also lets you launch the container from the aircraft.

Anime Appearance and Special Video
In addition to the toy, the Tokusou Gattai Robo Jobureibaa anime, currently airing on the official Takara Tomy YouTube channel, will feature Sukai Bureibaa JAL Jet Airliner in three consecutive episodes from October to December 2026.
