The world of the film Godzilla-0.0 is coming to the shabu-shabu buffet chain Shabu Yo. The collaboration will run for a limited time from October 22, 2026, and will include a special course with an original cork coaster and a social media campaign for a Godzilla figure.
Godzilla-0.0 heads to Shabu Yo
Godzilla-0.0 opens in Japan on November 3, 2026. It is set two years after Godzilla-1.0, in a Japan that war reduced to zero and that Godzilla then dragged into minus. Two years after that devastation, the country has struggled through reconstruction, but a new arrival of despair threatens to completely shatter the everyday life people have finally reached. Yamazaki Takashi returns as director, screenwriter, and VFX supervisor after Godzilla-1.0, which won the Academy Award for Visual Effects.
The Godzilla-0.0 Collaboration Course starts at 2,309 yen including tax and is designed to be enjoyed across generations. Each person who orders the course receives one original cork coaster at random from a total of five designs.
Dorsal-fin dumplings and jet-black cheese dango
The collaboration also adds limited ingredients inspired by the film’s world. Despair Black Chige Dashi combines a Korean-style red chige miso soup stock, balanced for spice and umami, with black mayu for a Godzilla-grade kick.
Into that soup goes Godzilla’s Dorsal Fin Gyoza, shaped to evoke the dorsal fin of Godzilla swimming through the sea.
Also on the menu is Godzilla-Style Jet-Black Cheese Dango, a jet-black item inspired by Godzilla with a chewy wrapper and rich cheese that melts out.
Nekorobo in Godzilla uniforms
From November 1, Nekorobo dressed in Godzilla-pattern uniforms will deliver orders to tables. The collaboration-limited wrapping on Nekorobo is meant to push the Godzilla atmosphere even further.
Social media campaign offers a Godzilla figure
To mark the collaboration, Shabu Yo’s official social media accounts will hold a giveaway campaign. Participants can follow the official X or Instagram account, add the designated hashtag, and post either a collaboration menu item or an arrangement inspired by Godzilla’s world. Twenty winners will receive the Movie Monster Series Godzilla (2026) figure.
