The impressive “Akaza’s Compass Needle Floor Advertisement” has been confirmed for display at “Kyo-Mafu 2025” (Kyoto International Manga Anime Fair), taking place on September 20th (Saturday) and 21st (Sunday). This captivating installation recreates the iconic floor pattern that appears when the formidable character Akaza from the series unleashes his Blood Demon Art. It has already been a massive hit, previously featured at four major terminal stations across Tokyo, Sendai, Oosaka, and Fukuoka.

The “Compass Needle Floor Advertisement” is also set for new theater expansions in September. In addition to its ongoing presence at Shinjuku Wald 9, fans in Kanagawa, Chiba, Kyoto, and Hyougo will now have the chance to experience this unique display at their local theaters.

Fans have been incredibly enthusiastic about the existing Compass Needle Floor Advertisements, sharing their excitement on social media with comments like, “The size is enormous and truly breathtaking!”, “It was so moving!”, “I finally got to see the Compass Needle Floor Advertisement~~! My heart absolutely danced the moment I saw it!”, and even “Some talented individuals managed to perfectly impersonate Akaza during the quiet moments!” The announcement of new locations has sparked even more joy, with fans exclaiming, “I definitely want to go take pictures now!” and “The nationwide expansion is here! Getting to experience Akaza’s Compass Needle Floor at a theater is just too exciting!”

The initial “seat-jack” promotion first launched on July 18th (Friday) in 33 theaters across the country. This eagerly awaited second phase will now bring the special experience to 8 additional theaters nationwide that haven’t participated before. These unique screenings allow fans to enjoy the main feature in a special theater where all seats within a single screen are randomly adorned with seat covers depicting 12 brave Demon Slayer Corps members. As an exclusive bonus for these theaters, there will also be a special welcome announcement by Kamado Tanjirou and character standees on display, making for an even more immersive viewing experience.

The anime `Kimetsu no Yaiba` is an adaptation of the immensely popular manga of the same name, which was serialized in Weekly Shounen Jump (Shueisha) from 2016 to 2020. The anime’s initial broadcast in April 2019 ignited a phenomenal social boom, leading to the cumulative circulation of all 23 manga volumes exceeding a staggering 220 million copies.

Following the first TV anime series, “Kamado Tanjirou Risshi-hen,” `Gekijouban “Kimetsu no Yaiba” Mugen Ressha-hen` depicted the “Mugen Ressha-hen” arc. This cinematic masterpiece achieved a total box office revenue of approximately 51.7 billion yen, securing its place as the highest-grossing film of all time in Japan. The TV anime continued to enthrall audiences with “Mugen Ressha-hen” and “Yuukaku-hen” airing and streaming from 2021 to 2022, followed by “Katanakaji no Sato-hen” in 2023, and “Hashira Geiko-hen” in 2024.

“Mugenjou-hen Dai Isshou” made an explosive debut, drawing 3.84 million viewers and raking in 5.52 billion yen in box office revenue within its first three days, setting new all-time records for opening weekend, opening day, and single-day box office results. It soared past approximately 12.87 billion yen in just 10 days of its release. This achievement of crossing the 10-billion-yen mark in merely 8 days from its release makes it the fastest film in Japanese cinematic history to do so, surpassing the previous record held by `Gekijouban “Kimetsu no Yaiba” Mugen Ressha-hen` (released October 2020), which reached 10 billion yen in 10 days, solidifying its position as the ultimate box office champion.

■ Synopsis

Kamado Tanjirou joined the Demon Slayer Corps to turn his demonized sister, Nezuko, back into a human. After joining, he fought alongside his companions Agatsuma Zenitsu and Hashibira Inosuke against various demons, growing stronger and deepening their friendships and bonds. Tanjirou then fought alongside the Hashira, the highest-ranking swordsmen of the Demon Slayer Corps: with Flame Hashira Rengoku Kyoujurou in the “Mugen Ressha” arc, with Sound Hashira Uzui Tengen in the “Yuukaku” arc, and with Mist Hashira Tokitou Muichirou and Love Hashira Kanroji Mitsuri in the “Katanakaji no Sato” arc, engaging in fierce battles. Subsequently, while undergoing the Hashira Training with other corps members in preparation for the upcoming decisive battle against demons, Kibutsuji Muzan appeared at the Ubuyashiki Mansion, the headquarters of the Demon Slayer Corps. The Hashira and Tanjirou rushed to protect Oyakata-sama from danger, but were suddenly dropped into a mysterious space by Muzan’s hand. The place where Tanjirou and his companions fell was the demons’ stronghold, the Mugenjou—and with that, the final battle between the Demon Slayer Corps and the demons began.
