Episode 24: The Grand Battle of the Giant Buddha Robot!

In the previous episode, a colossal Buddha robot was ingeniously crafted from the fervent imagination of their classmate Sakata Kinta, utilizing the nanoreflex skin that mysteriously forms Momo’s house. Momo, Okarun, Shirotori Aira (Aira), Jashin, and Kinta all bravely boarded this magnificent machine, ready to confront the formidable space monster.

In Episode 24, as the battle commenced, Momo exclaimed, “How do we even move this thing!?” While the Buddha robot managed to lumber into action, it initially struggled against the overwhelming might of the space monster. In a shocking turn, Okarun was even thrown outside the robot!

However, powered by Kinta’s unwavering imagination, the Buddha robot regenerated and dramatically transformed, launching a fierce counterattack against the space monster. Kinta, whose lifelong dream was to pilot a giant robot and who had meticulously watched countless mecha anime, unleashed iconic lines and attacks reminiscent of classic robot masterpieces, like “It moves!”, “Hot Wind! Fist of Justice!”, and “Daidalos Achaaa!”. Online, Kinta’s enthusiastic exclamations sparked widespread laughter: “It moves wwwww”, “He definitely just wanted to say that lol”, and “His lines are so free w”. Despite the humor and Kinta’s passion, the battle against the formidable space monster remained tough. Fans cheered him on with comments such as “Stand up, Kinta!! Fight, Kinta!!!” and “Don’t lose, Kinta!!!”, while also keenly noting the myriad of references: “Daimos, Gundam, Combattler V, Mazinger – anything goes ww”, “The airbag scene might be from Char’s Counterattack and Akira?”, and “Akira isn’t even a robot anime!!”.

A Shocking Climax and an Unexpected Kiss

Ultimately, with Momo and Aira’s combined abilities, they successfully subdued and defeated the space monster. Upon returning to Momo’s house, a suddenly nauseous Momo threw up, a moment that sent the internet into a frenzy. Fans couldn’t help but comment with remarks like, “What are we even watching in a finale www”, “Momo-chan, the vomit-heroine (lol)”, and “Anime where the heroine throws up are masterpieces.”

Ignoring the commotion, Okarun, ever the pragmatist, deemed the shrunken space monster “too dangerous to leave here” and transported it to Momo’s house.

To their utter surprise, the shrunken space monster had a peculiar “zipper” like a costume. As Okarun tentatively unzipped it, a beautiful girl emerged! This bishoujo then startled everyone by waking up and immediately kissing Okarun, who was right in front of her!? The episode concluded abruptly with Momo witnessing their kiss as her house exploded and the end credits began. Fans reacted with a mix of frustration and amusement, shouting, “It ends here?!” and “Don’t end it there, w”, alongside surprised exclamations like “It’s an homage to Episode 1!!!”. For Momo, this was undoubtedly as shocking as the end of the first episode of Season 1, when she asked Okarun his name and he coolly replied, “Ah… it’s Takakura Ken.”
