Known affectionately as “Chiramune,” Chitose-kun wa Ramune Bin no Naka is a TV anime adaptation of Yuu Hiro’s popular light novel series. Published by Shogakukan’s Gagaga Bunko, the original light novel has even achieved the prestigious honor of being inducted into the “Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi!” Hall of Fame, a testament to its widespread acclaim!
The anime is helmed by director Tokuno Yuushi (note: the character 徳 in his name is an older variant) and brought to life by the animation studio feel., renowned for their exquisite production quality. The story centers on Chitose Saku, voiced by Sakata Shougo. He’s joined by a stellar cast including Iwami Manaka as Hiiragi Yuuko, Youmiya Hina as Uchida Yuua, Ookubo Rumi as Aomi Haru, Hasegawa Ikumi as Nanase Yuzuki, Anzai Chika as Nishino Asuka, Azakami Youhei as Iwanami Kurannosuke, and Miyazaki Masaya as Yamasaki Kenta (note: the character 崎 in his name is an older variant).

He’s the kind of guy who’s exceptional in everything he does—academics, sports, and social skills—commanding attention, for better or worse. Naturally, he finds himself surrounded by a dazzling circle of friends whom everyone envies. As he enters his second year of high school, spring brings a new challenge: Saku is entrusted with the task of helping a reclusive classmate, a *hikikomori*, re-enter school life. Set against the beautiful, clear blue skies of Fukui, this promises to be an emotional and brilliant coming-of-age story that will truly shine.
Episode 1 Synopsis: “Haru, Miageru Oborozuki”
Chitose Saku is a student at Fuji High School, the most esteemed preparatory school in Fukui Prefecture. What he doesn’t lack in anything, from academics to athletic ability to communication skills, means he attracts attention, for better or worse. This also means gossip and rumors are part of his daily life.

As his “usual” spring in his second year of high school begins, Saku receives an unusual request from his homeroom teacher, Iwanami Kurannosuke: to convince his *hikikomori* classmate, Yamasaki Kenta, to return to school. Determined to uncover the root of Kenta’s withdrawal, Saku, accompanied by Uchida Yuua, heads to Kenta’s home. However, they are quickly turned away without making any progress… Will Saku be able to break through Kenta’s defenses and bring him back into the light?
