The journey of Nageki no Bourei wa Intai shitai began as a web novel, penned by author Tsukikage. It first graced the pages of the Shousetsuka ni Narou website back in January 2018. Following its web success, Micro Magazine took the initiative to publish the title under its GC Novels imprint, with the first volume hitting shelves in August of the same year. The light novel series features charming illustrations by Chyko, adding to its appeal. Fans can rejoice as the 13th volume of the light novel made its debut on September 30.
The Manga’s Illustrated Journey
The enchanting world of Nageki no Bourei wa Intai shitai also found its way into manga form! Hebino Rai began serializing the manga adaptation on the ComicWalker website in April 2019. Readers can catch up with the story through its compiled volumes, with Kadokawa having released the 11th volume on April 25.
Bringing the Story to English-Speaking Fans
For international fans, the Nageki no Bourei wa Intai shitai light novel and manga have also made their way to English translations. The light novel was initially licensed by Sol Press in November 2020, with the first volume released in December of that year. After Sol Press ceased operations, J-Novel Club graciously acquired the license in July 2022, ensuring the series continued for eager readers. The eighth English volume was released on October 6.
Meanwhile, Yen Press holds the license for the manga adaptation in English, which they acquired in May 2021. The ninth English volume was released on February 26, and fans can look forward to the tenth volume, which is currently planned for a January 2026 release.
