About Wan Dansu

Wan Dansu is a captivating TV anime adaptation of Kouhii-sensei’s popular manga, serialized in Kodansha’s “Afternoon” monthly comic magazine. With over 1.1 million copies in circulation, this manga perfectly blends the energetic world of “street dance” with the heartwarming intricacies of “romance.” The story follows Koutani Kaboku, affectionately known as Kabo, a high school student who struggles with a stutter, making it difficult for him to express his feelings. His world changes when he encounters his classmate, Wanda Hikari (Wanda), who fearlessly pursues her own expressive dance without a care for others’ opinions. Through Wanda, Kabo is drawn into the world of dance, embarking on a youthful journey to embrace “freestyle” dance—a form of expression that transcends words.
The series is brought to life by the talented Katou Michiya, who takes on the roles of director, scriptwriter, and VFX supervisor. The animation is a collaborative effort between the renowned studios Madhouse and Cyclone Graphics, promising stunning visuals and dynamic dance sequences. The compelling cast includes Uchiyama Kouki as Koutani Kaboku and Youmiya Hina as Wanda Hikari, with Suwa Ayaka, Masuda Toshiki, Uchida Yuuma, Hayashi Yuu, and Kobayashi Chikahiro also lending their voices to key roles.
Episode 2 Synopsis: “Dance Club’s Gender Ratio” & Preview Cuts

In the upcoming second episode, titled “Dance Club’s Gender Ratio,” Kabo, filled with nervous excitement, participates in a dance club observation. There, he begins to learn the fundamental movements of dance and the crucial importance of “listening closely to the music” from the club’s 部長 (club president), Miyau On, affectionately known as On-chan.

Though still a bit awkward, Kabo gradually finds his place within the dance club. His journey takes a significant turn as he begins after-school practice sessions, just the two of them, with Wanda.
