The latest episode of ABEMA’s “Anime LIVE Channel” program, Seiyuu to Yoasobi Suiyoubi #23, aired on November 5, 2025, at 10 PM JST. This particular broadcast featured the dynamic duo of Namikawa Daisuke and Yashiro Taku, renowned in the seiyuu world for Namikawa’s top-tier physical strength and Yashiro’s more grounded demeanor. Together, they engaged in a special segment known as “Omae ga Shita da! Namikawa-Yashiro The Battle,” a contest that challenges both their physical and mental prowess.
Leading up to this episode, Namikawa had a slight edge with 19 victories to Yashiro’s 17. However, the stakes were reset as this installment was dubbed the “Sekkachi Battle,” focusing entirely on who possessed the higher degree of impatience.
Right from the start, the topic of impatience dominated the opening discussion. Namikawa Daisuke confessed, “I can’t even wait for the microwave. Don’t you always check how many seconds are left?” Yashiro Taku, in contrast, immediately shot back, “No way! The ‘ding’ when it’s done is more than enough for me.” Namikawa then unveiled even more unique habits, admitting, “I can’t wait for the bath to reheat, and when I eat, I have a spoon in my left hand and chopsticks in my right!” This anecdote perfectly captured his extreme impatience and led to a lively back-and-forth with Yashiro.

The first challenge was the “Receipt Sorting Battle,” where the two had to quickly arrange ten receipts with different dates in chronological order. Namikawa initially finished ahead, but was promptly corrected by staff who pointed out, “The very first date is wrong!” Yashiro seized the moment, playfully quipping, “President!” Namikawa, always ready with a joke, responded, “There’s one from 2023! This is bad, I haven’t made my financial statement!” The studio erupted in laughter. It was then revealed that Yashiro also made an error right at the start. Namikawa retorted with “Additional taxation…”, leading to a humorous exchange that ultimately resulted in a draw.
Namikawa Exclaims “This is the Most Irritated I’ve Been All Year!” During the Earphone Battle

Next up was the “Earphone Untangling Battle,” a straightforward contest to see who could untangle a knot of wired earphones faster. Yashiro swiftly completed the task in a mere 34 seconds. Namikawa, however, found himself immediately frustrated, attempting to forcefully untangle the knots and losing his composure. Despite the competitive nature, Yashiro even showed a moment of kindness, offering advice: “Start from the thicker part here.” Ultimately, Namikawa took 87 seconds to finish, exclaiming, “This is the most irritated I’ve been all year!” Yashiro, ever the patient companion, simply smiled and watched, asking, “Really, that much?”

The “Cling Wrap Edge Finding Battle” also saw Yashiro’s overwhelming speed, successfully locating the edge in just 9 seconds. Namikawa once again found himself yelling, “I’m so irritated!” repeatedly. With a little help from Yashiro to finally complete the task, Namikawa couldn’t help but praise his companion, saying, “You’ll definitely make a great husband, you know.”
The final showdown was the “Lock Quick Opening Battle,” where the goal was to open a 3-digit combination lock within two minutes. To raise the stakes even higher, it was revealed that the winner would receive Namikawa’s personal favorite treat: Shine Muscat grapes. This exciting prize clearly boosted the spirits of both competitors to their absolute peak.
