`[Oshi no Ko]` Akua Becomes Date Masamune!? Ai’s Chinese Costume is Super Cute! “Children of the 47 Prefectures” Kanto & Tohoku Visuals Revealed
Great news for fans eagerly anticipating the third season of the TV anime `[Oshi no Ko]`. As part of the ongoing “Japan Nationwide Project [Children of the 47 Prefectures]” leading up to the premiere, new visuals have been unveiled for the Kanto and Tohoku regions! What’s more, an exciting event titled “TV Anime `[Oshi no Ko]` Kanto Noryo Matsuri” is set to take place on September 14th and 15th, promising new information about Season 3. The project is also announcing further participation in festivals and events across Japan, along with collaborations featuring local specialty sweets. Get ready for `[Oshi no Ko]` to sweep the nation!

`[Oshi no Ko]` is based on the highly popular manga serialized in “Weekly Young Jump,” a stunning collaboration between Akasaka Aka and Yokoyari Mengo that offers a completely fresh perspective on the entertainment industry. The story begins when Gorou, an obstetrician working in a rural town, has a fateful (and rather problematic) encounter with his beloved “oshi” idol, Ai of “B-Komachi,” who carries a certain forbidden secret. This encounter sets their destiny into motion.
The TV anime’s first season aired from April to June 2023, sparking a massive phenomenon. This was followed by the second season, which aired from July to October 2024, focusing on the aftermath for Akua, Arima Kana, and Kurokawa Akane as they prepared to star in the in-story play “Tokyo Blade” as part of a 2.5D stage adaptation. The series has also seen live-action drama, film adaptations, and stage plays. Now, the highly anticipated third season is slated for broadcast in 2026.
The “Japan Nationwide Project [Children of the 47 Prefectures]” is a special project launched in anticipation of Season 3. It features characters from the series depicted with imagery representing all 47 prefectures of Japan, aiming to garner “oshi” support for `[Oshi no Ko]` across the entire country. Newly released visuals feature characters embodying the essence of the seven prefectures in the Kanto region and the six prefectures in the Tohoku region, beautifully drawn for the occasion.

Adding to the excitement, the “TV Anime `[Oshi no Ko]` Kanto Noryo Matsuri” is confirmed for September 14th and 15th at Tokorozawa Sakura Town in Saitama prefecture. The outdoor area will feature a Bon Odori square where attendees can enjoy traditional Bon dances set to `[Oshi no Ko]` music, perhaps even joined by Pi-yon and other characters in costume! Inside the hall, there will be talk events featuring five main cast members: Ootsuka Takeo, Igoma Yurie, Han Megumi, Ishimi ManaKa, and Ookubo Rumi, as well as a re-screening of the “Ichigo Production Fan Appreciation Festival.” An exhibition hall will host free exhibits and sponsored areas, transforming the entire venue into a vibrant `[Oshi no Ko]`-themed Noryo Matsuri.
