From the legendary series Kidou Senshi Gundam, a new set of stickers featuring Mobile Suits and Haro in an adorable chibi style is launching. These will be available at the apparel shop STRICT-G starting Thursday, December 25th, 2025. And for those who can’t wait, pre-orders for some sets have already begun on the Bandai Namco Group’s official online store, Premium Bandai.
A Quick Dive into the Classic: What is ‘Kidou Senshi Gundam’?
For the uninitiated, Kidou Senshi Gundam (which can be translated as Mobile Suit Gundam) is the foundational masterpiece of robot anime that began airing on April 7, 1979. Set in Universal Century 0079, the story unfolds half a century after humanity began migrating to space colonies. The conflict ignites when the farthest colony, Side 3, declares itself the Principality of Zeon and launches a war of independence against the Earth Federation.
After a month of brutal warfare that wiped out half the human population, the conflict reaches a stalemate. The story follows a boy from Side 7, Amuro Ray, who, after a Zeon surprise attack, accidentally boards the Federation’s new prototype Mobile Suit—the Gundam—and becomes its pilot. Forced to fight as a soldier alongside other young survivors aboard the battleship White Base, Amuro eventually awakens as a “Newtype.” The series, spanning 43 episodes, is renowned for its epic, space-scale narrative and thrilling robot action.
And let’s not forget Haro, the cute spherical companion that’s always by the protagonist’s side. Its charming form and loyal presence made it an instant hit, and it remains a beloved icon with tons of merchandise to this day.
