About the Timeless Series
Meitantei Conan is an anime based on the detective manga by Aoyama Gosho, which has been serialized in Weekly Shounen Sunday since 1994. The story follows high school detective Kudo Shinichi, who is forced to take on the identity of “Edogawa Conan” after being fed a mysterious poison by the Black Organization. As he investigates the organization’s true nature, he solves numerous difficult cases with his companions. The original comic has surpassed 107 volumes, with cumulative worldwide circulation breaking 270 million copies. The TV series that started in 1996 is approaching its 1,200th broadcast, showing no signs of stopping.
Furthermore, the latest installment in the movie series, the 29th film titled Meitantei Conan: Highway no Datenshi (which can be translated as Detective Conan: The Fallen Angel of the Highway), is scheduled for release on April 10, 2026. The story promises full-throttle, nail-biting action set in Yokohama, and expectations are high for the roles of characters featured in the teaser visual, including Hagiwara Chisato, Sera Masumi, Yokomizo Juugo, Hagiwara Kenji, and Matsuda Jinpei.
