Gojira -0.0 x Gorilla no Hadashi Health Sandals Launch November 3

A new health sandal tied to the November 3, 2026 release of Gojira -0.0 is bringing Gojira-inspired texture to the Gorilla no Hadashi line. The product, titled Gojira VS Gorilla no Hadashi -Gojira Raishuu-, will go on sale the same day at Don Quijote group stores nationwide, ASBee, Green Box, and other retailers.

A sequel to Gojira -1.0

Gojira -0.0 is the sequel to Gojira -1.0, which won the Academy Award for Visual Effects. The story is set two years after Gojira plunged a Japan reduced to “zero” by war into “minus.” Even as the country struggles and rebuilds, a new point of despair arrives to shatter the hope of the everyday life it had finally reached.

Gojira’s skin meets Gorilla no Hadashi

The sandal is a collaboration with the Gorilla Series, a line known for character-driven “impact design” and “interesting spice” that respond to real needs. Its most immediate feature is an impactful design made to resemble Gojira’s skin.

Building on the uneven, bumpy design that defines the existing Gorilla no Hadashi, the collaboration adds details inspired by Gojira’s rough hide. The texture is not limited to the insole: the outsole and upper also feature bumps that look like clusters of spheres.

Hidden Gojira and hidden Gorilla

The body hides both a “hidden Gojira” and a “hidden Gorilla.” A three-dimensional Gojira face appears on the upper, while gorilla faces are placed on the insole and sole.

At the center of the insole, the three-dimensional gorilla face is designed about 5 mm higher than the surrounding bumps. Each step stimulates the sole firmly, creating a comfortable experience from simply wearing the sandals.

Lightweight EVA build

The sandals use EVA material, chosen for its shock absorption and elasticity. Despite their bulky appearance, they are lightweight and soft, making them easy to use day to day with less burden during long periods of wear.

The result is a playful collaboration design in which Gojira and Gorilla are tucked among the rough bumps. The sandals are timed to the release of Gojira -0.0.
