Episode 27 “Compliance” Synopsis and Previews Released!
The synopsis and preview screenshots for the twenty-seventh episode (Season 3, Episode 3) of the TV anime 【Oshi no Ko】 Season 3, titled “Compliance,” have been released. The episode is set to air starting Wednesday, January 28, 2026.
【Oshi no Ko】 is a TV anime based on the massively popular manga by Aka Akasaka (story) and Mengo Yokoyari (art), serialized in Weekly Young Jump, with over 25 million copies in circulation worldwide. The story begins when Gorou, a gynecologist working in a rural town, is reborn as the child of his “oshi” (favorite idol), Ai. It unfolds the mystery surrounding Ai’s sudden death, Aqua’s quest for revenge, and the darker side of the entertainment industry.
Directed by Daisuke Hiramaki and animated by Doga Kobo, the series features a stellar cast including Takeo Ootsuka as Aqua, Yurie Igoma as Ruby, Megumi Han as Arima Kana, Maaya Iwami as Kurokawa Akane, Rumi Ookubo as MEM-cho, and Rie Takahashi as Ai.
The first season aired in April 2023, followed by the second season in July 2024. Its innovative setting within the entertainment world and shocking plot twists made it a massive trend on social media. Season 3 continues six months after the release of “POP IN 2.” Thanks to MEM-cho’s efforts, B-Komachi is on the verge of a major breakthrough. While Aqua thrives as a multi-talent and Akane steadily builds her career as a skilled actress, Kana has lost her former brightness. Meanwhile, Ruby, who seeks the truth behind the deaths of Ai and Gorou, climbs the entertainment ladder using deception as her weapon.
