Cardcaptor Sakura TaKaRaBaKo Pop-Up Shop Opens in Osaka! New Goods Unveiled!

Get ready, fans! A limited-time shop for the new `Cardcaptor Sakura` brand, “Cardcaptor Sakura TaKaRaBaKo,” is set to open! Named “Anime Cardcaptor Sakura TaKaRaBaKo POPUP SHOP,” this exciting event will run from June 6, 2025, at Daimaru Shinsaibashi in Osaka. The shop will feature brand new merchandise, including a gorgeous all-weather parasol modeled after the iconic Fuuin no Tsue (Sealing Staff) from the series, and a stylish satchel bag designed to complement various outfits.

『Cardcaptor Sakura』 is a beloved series that was serialized in the shoujo manga magazine “Nakayoshi” from the June 1996 issue to the August 2000 issue. The series was compiled into 12 tankoubon volumes, with a re-edited 60th Anniversary edition later released in 9 volumes. It was adapted into an anime series that aired on NHK from 1998 to 2000, covering the Clow Card arc in its first two seasons and the Sakura Card arc in the third season.

Subsequently, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the series’ serialization in 2016, a new chapter titled “Cardcaptor Sakura Clear Card arc” began after a 16-year hiatus. This new arc recently concluded after a captivating seven and a half years of serialization, spanning 80 chapters compiled into 16 volumes. In 2023, the anime celebrated its 25th anniversary, and a sequel anime adaptation for the “Clear Card arc” has been announced!

This iteration of the “Anime Cardcaptor Sakura TaKaRaBaKo POPUP SHOP” comes to Osaka following a highly successful run in March 2025 at Shibuya Hikarie in Tokyo. Just like the Tokyo event, the Osaka shop will feature delightful photo spots where you can pose with protagonist Kinomoto Sakura’s costume and the Tomoeda Junior High school uniform from the “Clear Card arc,” as well as a full-length mirror designed like a magical card!

Also, in addition to popular original merchandise that were a hit in Tokyo, such as Kero-chan plushies and earrings, the Osaka shop will unveil exciting new products! These include an all-weather parasol inspired by the Fuuin no Tsue from the “Clow Card arc” and a practical yet fashionable satchel bag perfect for daily use.

The “Cardcaptor Sakura Hareame Kanyou Nagagasa Fuuin no Tsue” (Cardcaptor Sakura All-Weather Long Parasol: Sealing Staff) is a lovely dusty pink all-weather parasol. It features an illustration of Sakura dressed in her costume from the “Clow Card arc.”
