Dengeki Daisy Anime Set for January 2027 Two-Cour Broadcast
The TV anime adaptation of Motomi Kyousuke’s Dengeki Daisy will begin in January 2027 and air for two consecutive cours. The announcement also included the first key visual, the first main PV, and additional cast information.

Story and Manga Background
Dengeki Daisy is a manga by Motomi Kyousuke that ran in Shogakukan’s shoujo manga magazine Betsucomi from 2007 to 2013. Its worldwide cumulative circulation has surpassed 5 million copies. The story follows high school girl Kuribayashi Teru, who loses her only blood relative, her older brother Souichirou. She relies on emails from a mysterious person named DAISY that arrive on the mobile phone her brother gave her. One day, after Teru breaks a windowpane, she begins working as a servant for school custodian Kurosaki Yuu. Kurosaki is foul-mouthed and harsh, but for some reason he gently watches over Teru. Their meeting begins to drastically change Teru’s fate.
The first key visual shows Kuribayashi Teru and Kurosaki Yuu alongside new characters Kuribayashi Souichirou, Onizuka Riko, Masuda, and Akira. The first main PV also debuted, offering the first listen to the voices of the newly introduced characters.

Additional Cast and Comments
With the new character information, the anime revealed additional cast members and their comments.
Kuribayashi Souichirou: Sugita Tomokazu

‘I had an attachment to this work because I previously provided narration for its voice comic, so I am happy to appear. I am performing while carefully balancing his presence, since he is key to the story. Please look forward to it.’
Onizuka Riko: Terasaki Yuka

‘I love shoujo manga, especially from this era, so I am very happy to be involved with Dengeki Daisy across time. Riko is like a caring older sister who warmly watches over Teru and Kurosaki. I think her deep love for them is wonderful. I am truly enjoying playing her. I will cherish her love and face the work with all my heart. Please look forward to it!’
Masuda: Satou Setsuji

‘Congratulations on the Dengeki Daisy anime adaptation!! I play the reliable man who warmly watches over Kurosaki and Teru, known as Master. I have rarely had the chance to play such an adult role, so it was very rewarding and memorable. During recording, I enjoyed performing while watching the young two. Sometimes I caused trouble with ad-libs (laughs). Teru is positive and hardworking, and Kurosaki is clumsy but kind. I am sure their interactions will make you excited! Guha.’
Akira: Amazaki Kouhei

‘When I auditioned for Dengeki Daisy, I went in determined: I want to play Akira! so I was happy when I was told I got Akira. At the same time, it is a difficult role, so I was very motivated! The mood on set is high, and leads Aoyama-san and Yashiro-kun are leading us. I have worked with director Ueno on other titles, and I love the atmosphere of his works, so I am looking forward to completion. Please look forward to the broadcast!!’
