The manga Hokuhokusei ni Kumo to Yuke is getting a TV anime adaptation. The series is set to begin airing on TBS in 2027, with worldwide exclusive streaming planned for Netflix. The original work is a popular manga that has surpassed 1.6 million copies in circulation. It follows 17-year-old Miyama Kei, who lives in Iceland at 64 degrees north, in Land’s End. Kei has three secrets: he can talk with cars, he is not good with girls, and he is a detective. Driving his beloved Jimny, he takes on cases such as bringing back a runaway pet dog or searching for someone’s love at first sight.
The released key visual places Kei against Iceland’s vast natural scenery as he looks ahead. Its design evokes the cover of the manga’s first volume. In the first PV, Kei is shown driving his Jimny along a straight road through the great outdoors.
