Get Ready for Romance and Reincarnation! Fall Anime Tensei Akujo no Kuro Rekishi Releases Episode 1 Synopsis and Advance Cuts!
The highly anticipated Fall anime, `Tensei Akujo no Kuro Rekishi`, is set to premiere on October 8th, 2025 (Wednesday). To build excitement, the synopsis and advance scene cuts for Death Flag 1 (Episode 1), titled “Taisetsu na no wa Gakuryoku yori Maryoku” (What’s Important is Magic Power Over Academic Ability), have been unveiled. Additionally, to commemorate the first episode’s broadcast, a special illustration drawn by original author Touka Akiharu has also arrived!
About Tensei Akujo no Kuro Rekishi
`Tensei Akujo no Kuro Rekishi` (which can be translated as “The Villainess’s Black History Reincarnation”) is a thrilling “death flag avoidance romantic comedy” based on the popular shojo manga by Touka Akiharu. Serialized in Hakusensha’s “LaLa” magazine, the series boasts an impressive cumulative sales of over 1.8 million copies, including digital versions.
The anime adaptation is helmed by director Sakurai Hiroaki, known for his work on various beloved series, with animation production expertly handled by Studio DEEN. The star-studded cast features Aoyama Yoshino as the protagonist, Iana Magnolia, alongside talented voice actors such as M・A・O, Komatsu Shouhei, Toki Shunichi, Furukawa Makoto, Lounsbery Arthur, Tamaru Atsushi, and Maeno Tomoaki.
The story follows Satou Konoha, an ordinary office worker who tragically loses her life in an accident on her way home from work. She then finds herself reincarnated into the world of a fantasy romance adventure story she penned during her middle school years—her very own “black history.” However, instead of being reborn as Konoha Magnolia, the graceful heroine she had intended, she awakens as Iana Magnolia, the heroine’s younger sister and a notorious villainess of unparalleled infamy.
Transformed into the antagonist of a past she desperately wants to forget, Iana’s fate hangs in the balance. Can she truly secure a peaceful life while watching over the characters she herself created, all while trying to avoid the numerous “death flags” that threaten her existence? This is an exciting premise for fans of the isekai genre and villainess stories!
Death Flag 1 (Episode 1) “Taisetsu na no wa Gakuryoku yori Maryoku” Synopsis
Satou Konoha, a company employee, meets her untimely end in an accident on her way home. To her astonishment, she is reborn into the world of a story she wrote during her student days – her very own “black history.” But there’s a catch: she isn’t the heroine, Konoha, whom she always wanted to be. Instead, she finds herself in the shoes of Iana, the disliked younger sister and a villainess of the highest caliber.
To make matters worse, as the story progresses, Iana (who is now Konoha herself) is destined to meet an early demise at the hands of the butler, Soru. There’s only one path to survival: she must recall the story’s unfolding events and meticulously avoid the grim fate awaiting her!
