About Cardcaptor Sakura
Cardcaptor Sakura is a legendary manga series by the creative team CLAMP, which was serialized in the shoujo manga magazine Nakayoshi from June 1996 to August 2000. The original tankoubon volumes total 12 (paperback edition), while a recompiled Nakayoshi 60th-anniversary edition was published in 9 B6-sized volumes. In 2016, to celebrate its 20th anniversary, a brand new arc titled Cardcaptor Sakura Clear Card-hen began, marking a return after 16 years. This captivating new chapter concluded with 80 episodes across 16 volumes after seven and a half years of serialization.
The anime adaptation of Cardcaptor Sakura first aired on NHK from 1998 to 2000, with the first and second seasons covering the “Clow Card-hen” arc, and the third season featuring the “Sakura Card-hen” arc. As of 2023, the anime celebrated its 25th anniversary, and an exciting announcement was made regarding the production of a sequel anime for the Clear Card-hen!
