Ootoya x Haikyuu!! Collaboration: Six Captains Gather for a “Victory Meal” Campaign!
A special collaboration between the anime `Haikyuu!!` and the set meal restaurant chain “Ootoya” is set to kick off on October 15, 2025. This exciting event will feature six captains, including Karasuno High’s Sawamura Daichi, and will introduce special collaboration menus and exclusive visuals specially drawn for Ootoya.
About Haikyuu!!
Haikyuu!! is a high school volleyball manga by Furudate Haruichi, serialized in “Weekly Shounen Jump” from 2012 to 2020. The story follows Hinata Shouyou, a small boy who enrolls in the prestigious Karasuno High School, and his journey to reach the national tournament alongside talented companions like the genius player Kageyama Tobio and other unique teammates.
The TV anime adaptation began in 2014, with its fourth season, Haikyuu!! TO THE TOP, already broadcast. The series has also seen theatrical films and OVAs, celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2022. February 2024 saw the release of Gekijouban Haikyuu!! Gomisuteba no Kessen (also known as *Haikyuu!! The Dumpster Battle*), a sequel to the fourth season. Furthermore, the production of a new film, Gekijouban Haikyuu!! VS Chiisana Kyojin (which can be translated as *Movie Haikyuu!! VS The Little Giant*), and a short special anime, Haikyuu!! Bakemono-tachi no Yukutokoro (which can be translated as *Haikyuu!! Where the Monsters Go*), along with its TV broadcast, have also been announced.
The “Ootoya x Haikyuu!! Shouri ni Michibiku, Shoubu Meshi! Collaboration Campaign”
This exciting new collaboration, titled “Ootoya x Haikyuu!! Shouri ni Michibiku, Shoubu Meshi! Collaboration Campaign” (meaning *Ootoya x Haikyuu!! Leading to Victory, Decisive Battle Meal!*), puts the spotlight on six iconic captains: Karasuno High’s Sawamura Daichi, Aoba Johsai High’s Oikawa Tooru, Nekoma High’s Kuroo Tetsurou, Shiratorizawa Academy’s Ushijima Wakatoshi, Fukurodani Academy High’s Bokuto Koutarou, and Inarizaki High’s Kita Shinsuke. These charismatic leaders are ready to serve up some serious flavor!
Special Visual Board Included Set Meals
From October 15 to November 30, Ootoya will be offering “Visual Board Included Set Meals,” limited to a total of 340,000 servings. Each order will come with one random, collaboration-exclusive “Newly Drawn Visual Board.” These special set meals are divided into two parts, each featuring three captains with their own unique collaboration meal (the visual boards are available while supplies last).
Part 1 of the collaboration, running from October 15 (Wednesday) to November 5 (Wednesday), features:
- Sawamura Daichi’s “Jumping Prep Starts Here! ‘Instantaneous Power Boost Meal'” for 1,880 yen (tax included)
- Oikawa Tooru’s “Playing in Combination! ‘Synergistic Balance Meal'” for 1,880 yen (tax included)
- Ushijima Wakatoshi’s “Simple Strength is Built Up! ‘Power Charge Meal'” for 1,880 yen (tax included)
Following this, Part 2, available from November 6 (Thursday) to November 30 (Sunday), will showcase:
- Kuroo Tetsurou’s “Support Stamina! ‘Rally-Connecting Stamina Meal'” for 1,880 yen (tax included)
- Bokuto Koutarou’s “Supporting the Ace! ‘Pre-Match Condition Meal'” for 1,880 yen (tax included)
- Kita Shinsuke’s “Ever-Changing! Riding the Strongest Wave! ‘Full Concentration Zone Meal'” for 1,880 yen (tax included)
Exclusive Visual Boards & Original Bottle Soft Drinks
Additionally, “Original Bottle Included Soft Drinks” featuring designs of the captains from each school will be available for purchase. These are limited to 140,000 bottles, and eligible drinks include those from the drink bar, coffee drink bar, and single-order drinks.
Collaboration Limited Goods
A variety of collaboration-exclusive original goods featuring the newly drawn illustrations will also be rolled out. The lineup includes popular collector’s items like “Acrylic Stands,” “Trading Hologram Can Badges,” “Trading Rice Scoop & Rice Two-Charm Acrylic Charms,” “Clear Files,” and “Clinging Cloths.” A post-event sale will also be held on the EC site “TG MALL” from October 15 at 12:00 PM to December 1 at 10:00 AM.
In-Store Decorations and Special Promotions
Don’t miss the special in-store decorations at various Ootoya locations, such as the Aeon Mall Sendai Uesugi branch, which will feature character panels of Sawamura Daichi, Oikawa Tooru, and Ushijima Wakatoshi, along with a banner!
Ootoya official app members can also receive a smartphone wallpaper featuring the collaboration key visual as a special gift. Furthermore, a promotional video with Sawamura Daichi (CV: Hino Satoshi) and collaboration menu videos are currently available for viewing.
