Kitani Tatsuya has released the music video for his new song “Isho” on Wednesday, August 12 at 9:00 PM. The track was written as the opening theme for the TV anime Kore Kaite Shine, which is based on the popular manga that won the Grand Prize at Manga Taisho 2023 and the 70th Shogakukan Manga Award. The series has been drawing attention as a youth story about the passion for manga creation.
The music video features actress and model Yoshida Miyuki, who voiced the protagonist Kyomoto in the film Look Back and is set to appear as a main cast member in the NHK morning drama Meguru Swan in the first half of 2027. In the video, she plays a girl with a rich imagination, and her endless creative impulses are expressed in a fantastical way.

As the girl’s delusions expand, countless balloons appear and eventually transform into a giant presence, symbolizing the joy and anguish of creation and the irrepressible desire for expression. In Kitani’s singing parts, layered visuals depict the creator’s conflicts and thoughts, intertwining with the girl’s story to convey the song’s theme: “creation is a living will.”
Kitani Tatsuya is a prominent artist whose 2023 song “Ao no Sumika” surpassed 500 million total plays and earned him a spot at the 74th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen. He also collaborates with Nakajima Kento in the unit GEMN for “Fatal” and has the hit song “Hidane.”
Kitani Tatsuya’s Comment
Commenting on the song, Kitani said: “Creative activity is a scream of ‘I am here (I was here).’ It is an activity for those who want to display the self carved into their works in a corner of the world. Of course, I want people to know me even a thousand years from now, and creation makes me think that might even be possible, but the main point is to hurl every aspect of myself at this moment onto the paper in front of me. In other words, creation is a will that continues to be updated by overwriting as long as you live! That’s the song.”
