TV anime NO.6 is now available for free streaming in a limited-time event on the YouTube channel “Furu☆Anime TV,” operated by Kodansha. The first six episodes are currently available, with the second half to follow in June. This promotion celebrates the release of volume 3 of the new series NO.6 [Number Six] Saikai, written by Asano Atsuko, which hits shelves on May 28.
About NO.6
Based on Asano Atsuko’s near-future sci-fi novel series—also known for Battery—the anime was directed by Nagasaki Kenji and produced by studio Bones. The voice cast includes Kaji Yuuki as Shion, Hosoya Yoshimasa as Nezumi, Yasuno Kiyono as Safu, Shindou Kei as Inukashi, Terasoma Masaki as Rikiga, Sakuma Rei as Karen, Morohoshi Sumire as Lili, and Miki Shin’ichirou as Youmi.
The story follows 16-year-old Shion, raised as an elite in the utopian city “NO.6,” and the mysterious boy Nezumi living in the slums of “West Block” outside the city. Their intense bond and harsh fate unfold across 11 episodes.

Episodes 1–6 are available from May 22 (00:00 JST) to June 5 (23:59 JST). Episodes 7–11 will stream from June 6 (00:00 JST) to June 20 (23:59 JST).
Character Popularity Poll for 35th Anniversary
To commemorate Asano Atsuko’s 35th debut anniversary, a character popularity vote has started from May 22. Readers can vote for characters from any of Asano’s works published up to May 2026, including NO.6, Battery, and Telepathy Shoujo Ran. Results will be announced this winter in a “35th Anniversary Guidebook” (tentative title). Voting runs until July 31 at 23:59 JST.
